While I waited for an oil change, I sat in a lounge and read Tina Fey’s book. Laughed so much that I had to put it down because I drew attention to myself. As a result, two nice customers talked with me about it and Ms. Fey. Each said they planned to read Bossypants, too.
David Sedaris’ book probably had the biggest reaction out of me. I was in my bedroom in the Inner Sunset of San Francisco. Grateful my roommate wasn’t home, cried happy tears, gasped for air. Needed a cigarette after I read parts of Me Talk Pretty One Day.
Tried to read Stephen King’s book on a bus and was unsuccessful stifling my laughter amongst the crowd. Had to close that one, too, till I was safe in the comfort of my home and could make some noise.
I love it when others give me joy, can make me laugh till it hurts.
