A Day in the Life of an Occupational Therapist (OT)

Today was a nice day to end National Occupational Therapy Month.  I discussed and educated one client on assertiveness, setting boundaries, social skills, safe sex, positive risk taking, dating, intimacy, birth control, condoms, sexually transmitted diseases and infections; budgeting, relationships, learning disabilities, school, and symptom management with another client.  I also received a thank you card that read:

“I am very glad that you are my O.T.  I feel so comfortable with you and we have done some great work together.  I look forward to continuing our work together.”
